His 41 points were the second most by a Razorback player in the history of the arena. Rotnei Clarke (51) is the only Arkansas player to score more in a game here. Jodie Meeks of Kentucky has the opponent scoring record (45).
He had a good game! Tulsa paid a lot of attention to Joe and that helped Mason Out! Sills getting his shot to fall has helped too! Whitt also made some nice shots. All 4 of these guys were threats to score today.
His stats today were nothing short of amazing. He not only scored 41, but did it on just 18 shots taken. It was a complete game too. 6 boards, 4 assts, 4 steals, a block and, best of all, only 1 TO.
It was great to see the team with just 8 TOS. I think, today showed the results of a week off. I’m sure the rest helped and it gave CEM the chance to work on fundamentals and TOs
Man, I am glad his injured shoulder magically recovered…
So you still believe CEM would lie publicly about an injury to a player. The announcers even said CEM was quoted today saying Jones shoulder was 100% now.
Mason Jones has just been outstanding this year…he has such a versatile offensive game. This offense is just built for Jones and Joe to score. It also leaves room for Jimmy Whitt to do his thing around the free throw line.
Its obvious the players are coached up to use their strengths. Mason just keeps getting better in his all around game-outside shooting long & mid range, but driving to the basket is his forte, under control with potential 3 pt plays or money in the bank at the FT line.
Joe still hasn’t hit his peak from long range, I thought he would have 40 pts the way he started the game then cooled off.
