Jersey Wolfenbarger, Class 6A state tournament tidbits (Updated 12:15)

• On hand at the Class 6A state tournament in Fayetteville today.

Arkansas women’s signee Jersey Wolfenbarger, one of five finalists for the Naismith national player of the year award, and her Fort Smith Northside team are taking on Springdale Har-Ber in Thursday’s first game.

Northside has a 28-17 lead at halftime despite Wolfenbarger having just 6 points - one FG and 4 free throws - at halftime. She has missed a few shots, but has mostly been happy to facilitate for her teammates.

Oklahoma State signee Tracy Breshears has four points for Northside at intermission.

Little Rock Central’s boys, which features a pair of Arkansas offers in sophomore Bryson Warren and freshman Annoy Boateng, play Bentonville West at 1 p.m.

Wolfenbarger now with 12 points as Northside leads Springdale Har-Ber 44-30 headed into the fourth quarter.

Jersey finishes with a game-high 16 points as Northside downs Springdale Har-Ber 62-50.

Northside will next play Saturday morning at 10 am in the semifinals against the Bentonville-North Little Rock winner.
