How do you say the Hogs did everything they needed to do to win. In the same breath say it wasn’t the prettiest game played.
I thought it was a beautiful masterpiece by the Hogs. Sorry the Zags didn’t look so pretty, wonder why?
Barkley nailed it much better (Auburn). It was a masterpiece.
Bilas is a Dukie too, he and Grant Hill can catch up latter and discuss how unpretty our win was.
I thought he gave us plenty of credit. We don’t win pretty. We just don’t. We scrap and claw and battle.
Personally I thought it was a thing of beauty, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We executed the game plan to perfection and that is called buying in Whole Hog. Like so many other Arkansas Razorbacks sports teams they have bought in to what their coaches are saying and doing. WPS
Winning ugly is our calling card. You don’t play an aesthetically pleasing game when you lock down on defense and muck it up like we do.
Saying we played an ugly game is a compliment. That means we played Arkansas basketball.
I thought he was complimentary in his comments. we should stop looking for the hidden meaning in everyone’s words. They are eating crow, they are admitting it. Let’s accept that and get on to their old new take on how we cant hang with Duke

Your right gentry. I told my wife at half time that I want to see the Zaggs in the “agony of defeat” mode…
Yes, they can beat anybody and after last night they will feel even more so. Still haven’t played the best full 40 minute game yet.
Yeah our offense will never be pretty, just not going to happen,so I agree with all he said.We are a blue collar team who imposes their will on teams and gets them to play our game. The game last night started out at Gonzaga’s pace but slowly but surely we got them to play our style and we wore them down.
I agree with you, youdaman. I do, however, still believe that they will have a few games where the offense shoots the ball really well. They are capable of it and I hope that Sat nights game will be that kind of game. With the defense they have and then have a good game shooting the ball, man oh man, they will be very hard to beat.
But if they don’t, they will do just what they’ve been doing. They will fight, scrap and play tough basketball and just shoot well enough to win.
Go Hogs‼️
Could you imagine if we had one of our good 3 point games against Duke? They wouldn’t know what hit them. Imagine if we had Isaiah Joe on this team…
Arkansas put on a defensive clinic last nite.
Didn’t Bilas pick Vermont to beat us?
He talked about we were primed for an upset by Vermont but he thought we should win LOL
Yeah we are capable of shooting the ball well. Hopefully it will be Saturday night. I think we could be a lot better shooting team if we took better shots. A lot of our shots are very tough shots on the move.I think if we passed the ball more we would get better shots with our feet set
When I watched the video of the Hogs shoot around, before last nights game, I noticed that in part that they were passing the ball around a lot in the half court. It caught my attention because you really don’t see them doing that a lot when they play. At least it seems that way. I thought to myself that Muss must really be stressing the passing going into the game with Gonzaga. I thought they did do a better job of passing last night. It resulted In enabling Wade to be open for the three’s he was hitting.
Some of our TO’s were a result of dribbling too much and dribbling into double coverage and having to try and pass out of it.
I read somewhere that Muss wanted 200 passes in the game?? If so, I wonder how many we did make.
Yeah when we start driibbling a lot we normally don’t get a very good shot. We did have better movement and better passing a lot of times last night. Why we were able to shoot a little bit better percentage.
Yeah early in the year I read he said he wanted 200 passes which is two or three times every possession if you get the ball around 65 to 70 possessions.
Offense was much better against Zags than against NM State. Clearly, better passing, movement w/o the ball, and better shot selection was emphasized in the game prep leading up to the game last nite.
Too much dribbling also eats too much time off the shot clock. Good passes take a lot less time and can result in a much better shot selection without having to hurry up a shot.
Exactly it’s hard for a defense to cover three or four very crisp quick passes. Somebody’s going to get a good look
