There is good news and bad news when you look at the list of players on First Team, Second Team and All Underclassmen Team.

Good news is that talent level in Arkansas high school basketball is deep and rich. The bad news is that the future classes are very thin or non-existent for bigs. Looks like Hogs will have to look out of state for bigs,

Jaylin Williams of Northside is one to watch. He’s expected to be 6-10 or 6-11 when done growing. He has a long ways to go but he’s making progress. He the stepson of Southside football coach Jeff Williams.

RD, Tim Cooper’s article in ADG says that Chris Moore is expected to grow to 6-10. If that happens, we are looking at a high 4 star and just the big man we need.

Because of our scholarship numbers, we may have to pass on Issac McBride and Javon Franklin in 2019 class and four of Moody, Thompson, Moore, Doakes, Khalen Robinson, Jaylin Franklin and Davis in the 2020 class. Staff has got their work out to do proper evaluations.

I confirmed that. If Chris grows to just 6-8 he could be a national recruit. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a kid play as hard as him.

Chris told me a couple of years ago that he had two uncles that were at least seven feet tall.

He’s a beast at 6-6.

Him at 6-10 might be unstoppable

RazorAg had said by looking at his body, it doesn’t look like he will grow anymore. Would love to hear him again about this.

FWIW, the doctor is the Grizzlies’ doc.

It would be foolish of me to speak absolutely on this, of course. Who knows how much he’ll grow from here? But, yes, based on watching this kids grow for many years now, he has one of those bodies that tends not to grow much more. I sure hope he does. I said the same thing as Richard the other day. If he gets even to 6’8, he’ll be highly, highly recruited. I think the reason we haven’t offered yet is because they want to see how he grows and develops.

Kind of piggybacking here, but Razor was talking to me the other day. Future 150 ranks these kids early. They said with his skill set, if he was to grow to 6’10 (I guess he has some family member in the 7 ft range) he could possibly be the number one player in this class. But of course that article was two years ago, a lot can change.
