Mercy ruled by LSU, look like they’re about to be eliminated by 11th-place South Carolina. Not exactly the best look to give the committee as it sits down to determine the top 8. I don’t know who out there is making a strong case for that eighth seed, but it ain’t the Jellycats.
Everyone I’ve talked with thinks Kentucky is a lock to be a national seed. Only three teams - LSU, Florida and North Carolina - have more top 50 wins.
Kentucky also has a strong schedule strength with nonconference games against North Carolina, Louisville and Indiana. It also has the series win over LSU to offset the loss last night.
