I didn’t read the article, so I’m not sure if it is addressed, but this is no surprise because juggling class and college baseball teaches discipline that most 18 year olds don’t inherently have. You are more equipped to handle the rigors of the minor leagues if you have been in a college program; not to mention you have been exposed to other high-level talent and quality coaching.
