In-state kicker hits from 63 yards

Chris is a 2018 kicker that’s 5 of 5 on FGs with a long of 45. He’s 9 of 9 PATs, 12 of his 15 KOs have been touchbacks.

I saw this kid kick against Sylvan Hills, and he looked very impressive. He also starts at DB, so by the end of the game his KOs were barely getting into the end zone(keep in mind HS kickoff is from the 40). He was putting his early kickoffs about six or seven yards deep on average.

The forty five yarder he hit against Sylvan Hills would have been good from 52. His shorter kicks were high and effortless. I don’t remember if he was using a tee. He also kicked the forty five yarder after he had played about three quarters at DB, so again very impressive.

He’s an above average high school punter, but his place kicking should get him in a college uniform somewhere. If he wants to walk on and try for the job at UA, that would probably be a good thing.

Speaking of in-state kickers, I saw a video yesterday about Savana Melton, the girl who is kicking for North Little Rock this year. She set a state record last year for most consecutive extra points made (68) and I know she’s got 40 plus yard range. I don’t think she’s an SEC level kicker but I almost wish we’d sign her just to watch some heads explode. I hope she gets a chance to kick in college somewhere though.

What high school is Elser at?

Clicking his Twitter link revealed that he kicks for Little Rock Catholic

Thanks for your tech saviness.

I love her story, but she did fade on the big stage in the 7-A championship game last year, missing 2 PAT’s. I do expect a female kicker to emerge soon who will be a legitimate D-1 kicker.

Agree. Would love to see it.
