In honesty,

we have to get to a point where we can keep assistant coaches and not change them like we change clothes. These kids need stability in the staff. Hopefully he can get some guys in here that we can keep. The next few weeks will be interested. Also, how much input does the OC and DC have in selecting position coaches or does CBB make the decision solely?

Very interesting point - one of the arguments from folks solidly behind the head coach is he needs at least two more years because the program needs stability.

I don’t think in their eyes stability is equated with minimal staff turnover.

No football team keeps the same assistant coaches together from year-to-year. I can remember it happening at one time at Arkansas in my 12 years around the team.

The key is to keep the coordinators for as long as you can, as long as you are happy with their production. Position coaches are going to come and go. That’s just the way the business works.
