Future All-American in football, if he remains healthy. Love to
get those wrestlers, they are disciplined, strong and know how to use leverage.

WooooPig !! I want this “gentle giant” representing us when Bama visits with their big, burly DL; and I want him to cast them aside with SabaNation asking me in church “where’d this animal come from?”

Join us Charlie J!

Bonafide freak> A player in the top one-tenth of one percent good enough to start in the SEC. Go get that animal who is a gentle giant off the mat. We need him on the gridiron.

He plans to visit in the spring. His mom said he wants to play in the SEC.

They seem to really like Sam and Cody. I think they’re in it.

Charles is 37-0 going into the State Championships Thursday through Saturday.

I’m someone who really just discovered this kind of wrestling - instead of Memphis wrasslin’ -12 years ago when I got step son who was one of Georgia’s best 118 pound wrestlers.

Came to Arkansas, wrestled for Fayetteville, won the conference title and finished second in the state.

I was fascinated by it and think - much like other sports - there is carry over to different sports.

No visit date yet, but Charles’ mom said they’re in the process of setting up a trip to the Hill.

3 of my sons have kept me very busy with football, basketball, baseball, soccer, swimming and a decade of tennis, so far. My tennis playing twins are now 9th graders at Central. They came home from an orientation, and said “ we want to join the wrestling team!”. They are lanky like me, made for tennis, but I’m a supportive dad, so I say “sure”, assuming they’d quit after 2 days. Ha! Now they barely play tennis, and our entire household is devoted to wrestling, 6 days a week.

It is a great sport, and I truly believe that EVERY football player should be wrestling, for the leverage and the discipline and the physical competition. Love the sport!

One of my grandsons took up wresting this year. He’s a 6th grader in the smallest weigh class (78 lbs) I think. After his first match he moved up to Varsity and constantly beat 7th and 8th graders. He finished 2nd in District with 3 wins 1 loss at the year ender. Like you DD, I knew nothing but wrasslin……I’m enjoying learning about his great sport.
