HR conversation

I’ve been hearing some of the game commentators discussing the increase in number of HR’s this season. Specifically in the Regionals.
I’ve watched a few games and there are a lot of balls leaving the yard.
The analysts have been discussing the possible reasons for the explosion in the number of HR’s.
The ball?
Bad pitching?
More experienced, older players, due to extended eligibility as a result of C19?
Hitting styles?
What irks me, is anytime they start questioning a specific element of the game, it makes me think they suspect a problem and what can be done about it.
Any thoughts?
