I believe the baseball team starts practice this week and scrimmage on Friday. Matt, can you confirm the date? I think I heard Friday.
Anyway, the starting pitchers for the two teams will be Wicklander vs. Pallette. Really interested how these two throw in the scrimmage. I’m really looking for Wicklander to throw consistent strikes this year…if he does throw in the zone consistently, he will be 1st Team All-SEC.
Yes, the first team practice is Friday. They have had individual and skill sessions with coaches the last few weeks. In other words, pitchers are throwing bullpens with coaches and hitters are in the cages. This is done with coaches. There are rules as to how many players can work together at one time, but it’s organized practices. The scrimmages can begin Friday.
I’m planning to be at tomorrow’s scrimmage and provide some thoughts afterward.
