USA Today (coaches) hasn’t updated yet. If you’re wondering, the Auburn coach is the SEC voter this year.

Stayed the same in USA Today, sort of. We’re still sixth, but Clemson is no longer tied with us.

Do the polls really mean that much? Between the RPI and the polls it just seems a little off! Georgia 4th in RPI and I think around 16 in the polls! That’s a little to much of a difference to me?

RPI is a strength of schedule measure, basically. Anybody in the SEC is going to have a pretty good RPI just because the league is so strong, even a really bad team like Alabama, which is #83 in RPI today. Is Alabama the 83rd best team in the country? I don’t think so; they’re a lot worse than that. I think Georgia is probably a legitimate top 10 team but not top-4.
