Hogs back on the field at Baum

Here is a report from the first day of fall practice: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2017 … back-baum/

I don’t think all the heights and weights are accurate, but those are the official numbers provided.

Thanks for the update. Seems Coach Van Horn has some expectations for this team.
The pitching staff should be pretty good.
Man was Murphy’s performance in the regional impressive! He just wanted the ball. What a gamer. I’m glad Blaine Knight is back.

What time do they normally practice? Every day? Open to the public?

Players usually are on the field around 1:30 or 2 for BP and infield, and scrimmages usually start around 3. It’s not every day, so I would suggest you call Kelly Moore in the baseball office to confirm whether they are practicing that day. Every practice is open to the public unless it is raining and the team moves inside to the Fowler Center.

If you go to practice, gate B is the one to use. There is usually a brick to keep the gate from closing and the restrooms beside that gate are open. Rosters are in a plastic wall mount just outside the office at the suite entrance (on the main concourse).

Arkansas adds a key transfer this year from TCU: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2017 … ind-plate/

The transfer from TCU has experience and will give Grant a needed break behind the plate. It really hurt his BA last year he simply got wore out.
