Hog golfer currently in top 10 of Women's Open

Kaylee Benton is -1 through 13 holes of the first round at Shoal Creek outside Birmingham, AL. That has her tied for ninth.

Four other Hogs and ex-Hogs in the field. Stacy Lewis is +3, Maria Fassi is +4, Gaby Lopez is +5 and Dylan Kim hasn’t teed off yet.

Double bogey on the last hole dropped Benton from T-19 to T-75. She’s still top Hog though, but Kim tees off in a few minutes.

Fassi’s performance at the NCAA tourney was very disappointing. Luckily she has another year

Dylan Kim is on the course now. After +2 Thursday, she’s +2 today late in her round. The other Hogs have afternoon tee times.
