Hog diver wins a national meet

Freshman Brooke Schultz of Fayetteville won the three-meter springboard at the USA Winter diving championships in Greensboro, N.C.

The UA swim/diving program didn’t scratch in NCAA competition, and thus get Directors Cup points, last year, one of three Hog programs that didn’t (along with volleyball and women’s hoops). Sounds like Brooke herself may take care of that in 2018.

Unfortunately, volleyball again failed to make the NCAA field this season, despite improving to sixth in the SEC.

Brooke has a good story. I wrote this on her earlier this year: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2017 … dads-team/

Her Dad was the diving coach when I swam at Arkansas 1990-1994. Been fun to watch her the last few years on the national stage.
Good to see Coach Dale back on the hill
