That is quite the journey. Obviously mom and dad have raised him to work hard and do things the right way. Congratulations Jeff on a job well done. Nothing like seeing your kids do well. Thanks for sharing.

My oldest grandchild is 16 (and she’s driving) with two following close at 15. The youngest is 9. That’s what really gets your attention. One of the 15 year olds is 6’3” and is really becoming a good basketball player. His brother is 13 and is coming along too especially as a pitcher. He’s the one that told Kareem Reid that Kareem would see him in a Razorback uniform some day. No lack of confidence.

Love you Jeff. You’re a great dad.

That’s awesome LD. Kareem would ref some of our AAU games when we played in Northwest Arkansas. After one game I asked Kareem to meet our boys, I think they were 8th and 9th graders at the time. I told them a little about Kareem and then he talked with them for a few. He was really great while talking to them.

I have two grandaughters 9 months old and 4 years old. The 4 year old runs on 220 twenty four hours a day…lol…I hope my son can figure out what to do with all that energy.

Kareem coached my niece’s daughter in AAU. When my niece passed Kareem and his fiancé attended the celebration of life. When I thanked them for supporting us they gave me and Suzi a big hug and said they loved Donna. Love that guy.

Like Danny said, you are obviously a great dad.
BTW, I love Kareem too.

Thanks Jeremy! Going to be sad when we can’t watch him play anymore. He’s been playing since the third grade, basketball is in our blood.

Very cool! Thank for sharing!

It’s hard when our youngs grow up. I still miss watching mine play football and it’s been 3 years now.

Mine too, Jeff! Ball is life!

Thanks for sharing that Jeff. That is quite a journey. I’m curious about these games between Champion and National Park. Are these games, between a 2 year and 4 year school, considered exhibitions, or official games?

Yes it is. Thank you!

National Park is a 2 year Juco program and Champion’s is a 4 year program. When KJ played at National Park them and Champions hated each other. The coach at the time at Champions was a jerk so it was a crazy rivarly. Now Champions has a great coach but they don’t play National Park anymore.

Excellent article. Puts a smile on my face just knowing the love and gratitude with pride being shared. Congratulations to you and your family for the results of a loving, supportive family. Appreciate you sharing this.
