I would love to have all these in state kids stay home and be Hogs but if you want to go somewhere else then don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya! I don’t mean to say that in a bad way either or to be rude, just how I feel now. These coaches and staff AND fans have showed them time and time again how much they are wanted and loved so if they want to go elsewhere then so be it. I think it will only be a matter of time before we start getting our share of darn good players at all positions and we saw it last weekend. Besides, very few lineman start as Freshman and it can take a couple of years to grow and develop and there are a lot of other really good players at there that we can get and develop. If they leave I wish them the best and trust in this staff to land other solid players that can be developed.

I agree! Sure looks like we are going to sign several good offensive linemen with or without the instate guys. WR is another position that we will sign studs for sure. And QB. And DE. We already know these positions are headed toward good players and I bet we end with good players across the board.
Sadly, the Hogs have been mediocre to bad for the past six seasons. I hope the young man has some vision for what “could be” in Fayetteville under coach Morris, but what he’s seen thus far as a teenager has been disappointing. What I’ve seen as a sexagenarian has been disappointing, too.
2012 4-8 (2-6) 6th in West
2013 3-9 (0-8) Last in West
2014 7-6 (2-6) Last in West
2015 8-5 (5-3) 3rd in West
2016 7-6 (3-5) T5th in West
2017 4-8 ( 1-7) Last in West
All I see is one “up” season in six years in 2015 and it was only slightly better than mediocre. Bielema was incompetent and wrecked the program. A worthy adversary to Crowe and Otis Douglas for worst ever at Arkansas ( not counting interim hires). A complete joke.
7-6 is up from 3-9
8-5 is up from 7-6
2016 was headed towards 9-4 until the wheels fell off in the second half versus Missouri and Virginia tech…
Don’t get me wrong I’m not upset that we changed coaches, but for almost a three-year span 2014-The second half of the Missouri game in 2016 it looked like CBB was building something. 3rd in the toughest division, in the toughest conference in the country is something I would take in a heartbeat if you offered it to me for next year
2015 was okay, but that 3rd in the SECW was badly tarnished by the choke job against Toledo and Texas Tech making the defense look silly.
Speaking of the SEC 11-29 ( 8-22 in the SECW) was a complete embarrassment that badly damaged the brand. There is a reason, as CMM is fond of saying, the “logo is not popular.”
FWIW, JHS head coach is quoted in today’s Jonesboro Sun as saying that Darius is trying to “work it out with his two final visits with Auburn and Arkansas, and he wants to make a decision by July.”
I’m not saying it was where any of us wanted to be. Or that the CBB era didn’t end ugly. Or that I wasn’t wanting a new coach, but I don’t think anyone can honestly say that going into the 2nd half of the Mizzou game (with our 2nd straight 8 win season and potentially 1st 9 win season since Petrino seemingly in hand) that it looked like Bret was building a competitive program. Now it obviously didn’t end up that way and that’s not where we are today, But I believe that is what DD was talking about
