I believe that this is a good compromise for the state. The new regime seems to have a good feel for the dynamics of our state. Now the ball is in central Arkansas court. I think the goals will be met and tradition will win over $.
I have to say, I initially was ok with the WMS compromise. But I listened to one of Bo’s podcasts. He raised the question of whether this WMS deal is truly best for the Razorback football program. Many arguments support that it’s not.
Razorback football needs to win. Period. Hell, we don’t have any tradition except consistent mediocre to bad football, with very, very occasional good seasons. You guys stuck in the 60s and 70s wanting, for example, traditional uniforms and all that have grown to be ridiculous. Tradition as to UA football is vastly overrated and is pretty much non existent.
Every single decision that Hunter Y. and the BOT makes needs to be aimed at winning. If that is not the criterion, then I have no use for it. Winning has been vastly underemphasized. It needs to be top priority.
Yeah those new style anti-traditional uniforms have really served us well. We’ve really torn it up since ditching the traditionals after the 2007 season. Just one top 10 recruiting class after another and lots of championship hardware too.
