First of all, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Holidays to each and every board member here. This board has been like a family to me for what? Forever it seems. During some rough times too. My mother and brother-in-law’s passing in 2013. Then my own Mom passed in 2015. Then my wife Mary’s cancer in 2015, and the recurrence with surgery in 2020. Many on this board have been a huge support. Just like today, when so many have supported Dudley. To all of you…thank you and Merry Christmas!
As for an apology…earlier today I got some disturbing news about a visit to my father-in-law in Texas from people that didn’t wear masks into the nursing home. This is not the first time this has happened, apparently. That ticked me off…then the news about TCU having to cancel triggered my anger and I shot my mouth off in a post that offended some. That was my bad.
I do have strong opinions and don’t mind voicing them. But I firmly believe in voicing things in person. Not behind a computer screen. I try to be a voice of positivity on this forum. I fell short of that today.
So…again…apologies…thank you for the support…and a Merry Christmas to all!
I’ll wager that most of us have popped off with a post that we wish we could have taken back. I’ve done that numerous times. This week I’ve noticed a lot of people wearing masks but just over their mouths. I don’t get it.
Anyway all the best to our HI family in 2021. We’ve learned in 2020 to appreciate normal times. Hopefully next year will be normal.
You have never offended me in any way. I enjoy your post and your opinion. Happy New to you and your wife.
I’m also ready for 2020 to be over! I’m praying that on 2021 i can finally beat this cancer stuff.
If I can offer any advice to all of you it would be get your colon checked and keep your PSA checked! They found my cancer down low that was slow growing but I had a scan that found some wicked stuff in my thyroid!
If that had not been found I don’t think I’d still be above ground.
God bless you all!
I appreciate where you are coming from as far as being disturbed is concerned, we found out today that a relative of ours in a nursing home just tested positive (but so far is only experiencing mild symptoms and is doing ok). But I also appreciate all of your posts, your desire to stay positive, and your apology when you felt you fell short of the mark. It’s all good as far as I am concerned. A very Happy New Year to you.
No worries from my end. This has been a very disturbing year to say the least.
As for any of your posts, you call it like you see it and nothing wrong with voicing an opinion in a strong concerned manner. Especially when it’s about this dang virus and human lives.
Most of us have our moments and speak or react to quickly sometimes. But that’s why this is the best board to have discussions about “anything-anytime”.
Happy Holidays and let’s hope for better 2021.
Cheers.
