According to this 247Auburn website…Gus is visiting Kelly Bryant today at his home in South Carolina…today is the day Bryant is set to announce his choice. The article also says he is considering hiring an offensive coordinator from Clemson’s staff.
Hiring a coach to get a player is pretty smart, especially if that coach has coached Bryant at Clemson.
Gus just won’t leave us alone. You gotta give the man credit. He is dedicated and enthusiastic.
Just remember though… Bryant is a one year fix-a-flat and we need a complete overhaul

[/quote]Appears that Gus understands the fragile nature of job security at Auburn and he is in “by any means necessary” mode. My prediction is (if he gets Bryant), unless Kelly is the second coming of Cam Newton his job security is very short and even if he is a Cam clone, his time at Auburn is still very tenuous.
Seems to me that if he had him, he wouldn’t have to go back in to see him.
Yes! Or, having to up the “bid”. Not suggesting cash but having to hire a coach to counter the familiarity aspect of Arkansas’ appeal. Or, any school that might have sold him on “familiar scheme.”
That’s true. However, it’s what Gus may have had with him for the final offer that would concern many. Especially in light of the tenuous situation Gus finds himself in.
