Got two screens going this afternoon

One is UConn-Stanford to see who we play Saturday in Omaha.

The other is Australia-Peru, to see who gets the last spot in the World Cup soccer tournament. After 120 scoreless minutes, they’ve gone to penalty kicks. Australia missed its first kick, Peru made theirs, but still four more to go at least. It’s not an exaggeration to say this is a multimillion dollar shootout.

Peru missed its third kick, they finished the 5-kick portion tied 4-4. Keep going until the tie is broken at the end of a round.

And it took one more round. Australia made it, and their goalie, who was subbed in late in the overtime, saved the sixth Peru PK. Australia is in the World Cup.
