Going to be a big test for our new defense

just went back and watched last yr highlights and noticed that Turpin killed us running ,catching and special teams, will be interesting to see how Rhodes calls the game cant wait!! WPS!!

Lost in the fact that it ended with Arkansas winning 41-38 in 2 overtimes is the fact that the Razorbacks were ahead 20-7 with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter.

Hedlund then missed the field goal, TCU had life.

Turpin finished with 295 yards receiving and returning while Kenny “Trill” Hill passed for 377 and rushed for 93.

Austin Allen passed for 223 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran in the game-winner while Rawleigh Williams had 137 yards rushing.

Turpin’s 64-yard kickoff return had TCU in position but the long arm of Dan Skipper swatted away a field goal attempt.

about the offense than the defense…They are starting in the SEC…2 walk-on’s (one a true Freshman) and a converted D-lineman on the O-line…hope they can keep AA healthy this year because without him there is very little chance of a winning season IMO.

AA got hit way too many times by FAMU so I shudder to think what Bama and some of the others will do…

Question for the recruiting guys…this seems to be more than a recruiting “miss” but several classes of “misses” including some JC guys…what happened?

The true freshman is a blueshirt, which means he’s a scholarship player whose scholarship begins next semester. Technically, not a walk-on, nor even a preferred walk-on, but I get what you’re saying. It could be a long year for the line, or that freshman and walk-on may just be that good. The converted d-lineman looked salty at left guard in the opener. We’ll see in the next couple of games if there’s any reason to worry.

I’ve been telling anyone who would listen that Florida A&M is fast & quick …they recruited PURE SPEED to offset the lack of highly skilled & recruited player’s.

In Arkansas case it’s hard to corral a 6’1 220 DL (who in the SEC is a OLB) who is speeding around a 310lbs O-Lineman.
