Future Razorback Akol Mawein had 22 points and 13 rebounds

on Wednesday night as his Navarro College team won its fourth straight game by downing Jacksonville College 82-79.

The 6-10, 240-pound forward is averaging 13.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game this season.

Navarro (5-3) plays Coastal Bend on Sunday.

He follows that up with 17 points and 9 rebounds on Sunday as Navarro downed Coastal Bend College 69-56.

Akol was 6 of 9 from the field, 0-of-1 from 3 and 5-of-8 from the FT line.

Season stats:

Dudley do you think he can make an impact next yr? How is his inside game on offense?

He is a guy that can play both inside out.

Viewed as a stretch 4 as they say these days

I like his versality. But is he really 6-10 and 240? It’s hard to tell from video clips.

Do you consider Mawein to be an adequate replacement for Justin Smith at PF?

IMO Justin Smith is playing his way into a potential NBA career.

To tag on to an earlier question, how does the UALR transfers game compare to Smith’s?

As for Akol, that is what Coach Musselman, Coach Patrick, Akol and his coach all say he is.

But I’ve been nowhere near him so I can’t say anything for certain.

And I don’t know if that is with shoes on or shoes off :sunglasses:
