Too bad we were never able to land an Appleby on the UA campus. Woulda been good for the neighborhood. Bet that dude has been knockin down a high % of late game FT’s.

He’s a lot better player at his third stop than at Florida (he played two years at Cleveland State before transferring to Florida and his soph year at Cleveland State was good enough to get him to the SEC). He’s been Wake’s main guy all year, something he never did at Florida. He plays super-fast, and sometimes turns the ball over too often. Wake is not even close to the bubble right now but if they don’t have Appleby they probably would not make the NIT.
I heard something that he burned some bridges with Muss when he left Cleveland State. Not sure how that happened, but that’s what I heard. Maybe he didn’t give us a sniff.
Tylor Perry, a kid that I covered at Springdale Har-Ber, won C-USA player of the year yesterday. Went the JUCO route out of high school then found a great fit at North Texas. He’s a winner.
