Former Hog Bob White has passed away

I got a private message from Jim White that his brother Bob White passed away tonight. He was in a Branson hospital after a heart issue hit him Sunday in a Harrison golf outing.

Bob was a placekicker for the Hogs in late 60s. He was a successful Fayetteville attorney.

Jim and Bob’s dad Steed White was a coach for Jack Mitchell and Frank Broyles.

Deeply sorry to hear this news. Prayers for the family.

Very sad hear. Prayers for his family.

So sorry to learn of Bob White’s passing. I have many fond memories of his kicking successes back in the 1960s. As I recall, he kicked three FGs in the glorious Sugar Bowl victory over Georgia.

RIP, Bob White.

I was a student at the time. We called him quail at the games.
