Florida HS back breaks Derrick Henry's rushing record

But he doesn’t have a single FBS offer. Why?

Because he was born with one hand.

Thanks for the great post, and kudos to the writer (Sam Borden) at ESPN. It got me choked up. Sam needs to offer the kid. If RB doesn’t work, something on defense will.

A boss of mine many years ago had this quote hanging in his office:
“Success is not measured by the heights one attains, but by the obstacles one overcomes in its attainment.” - Booker T. Washington

need more feel good stories like this!know that people who have a disability often are able to compensate for it like a blind person’s sense of hearing or smell may be better than a “normal” person’s…who’s to say that the kid’s 1 good hand isn’t as strong as most are 2 handed?hopes he gets that Division 1 offer and can stay at running back

Great stuff……thanks for posting!

It is an inspiring story. Living example of overcoming severe handicaps and being disciplined and focusing on goals to excel at a high level.
Booker T Washington, George Washington Carver and Martin Luther King Jr. were shining examples of these qualities, it’s sad they are not remembered more favorably
in modern America.
