First big title for ex-Hog Tina Sutej

Yesterday Tina Sutej won Pole Vault at the Diamond League meet at Lausanne, Switzerland defeating Nina Kennedy of Australia, who had won the world title defeating our Sandi Morris at last month’s World Championships in Eugene,

For those unfamiliar with Diamond League, these meets are the next level to Olympics and World Championships.

Tina also won a bronze medal at the European Championships earlier this month. Big month for Tina.

Whatever happened to the twin girls from Cabot that seemed to win a lot of titles? Was thinking they went to the Olympics.

I think that they are in Pharmacy school.

Lexi competed in 2016 Olympics. Tori didn’t make it to Olympics. I don’t remember them competing after they got married,

They are in pharmacy school. Both had planned to compete and try out for the subsequent Olympic Games but retired after it was cancelled due to the pandemic. They thought postponed games were too uncertain to plan for. They did not want to compete professionally for a long period of time (like Sandy Morris and Tina Sutej). They wanted to start families at some point in the future.
