Todd Butler says Wichita State will play at Arkansas on Oct. 5: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2018 … l-exhibit/
Player email from Coach VH says they are playing at Oklahoma September 22nd.
That is wonderful, a little dose of Razorback baseball in the fall, maybe tide us over until February.
Dave did say at one point a couple of months ago that Oklahoma was a possibility. There is a football game in Norman that day against Army. It seems a lot of teams are trying to play these fall games in conjunction with a football game in town the same weekend.
Arkansas is playing Auburn in Auburn that day but the time has not been determined. Depending on the time of the football game, it could a trip to Norman and watching football on a motel room TV and going to the baseball game.
Looking at the SEC schedule that day, I think the Razorbacks football game will probably be that night. Because the Sooners have a home football game that night, I’m guessing the baseball scrimmage would be in the late morning/midday.
Any word on the time for the OU exhibition game?
Perfect timing! I just wrote about it. It will be at noon on Sept. 22.
A little more info on the trip to Oklahoma:
The team will travel to Norman next Friday afternoon and go through a practice at OU that night, similar to the in-season travel routine. Not surprisingly, Arkansas is likely to use a lot of pitchers.
