Unless I’m mistaken, Duke had 6 McDonalds AA’s. Those six scored all 78 of their points tonight. Obviously we had none.
Next year we’ll start to make up ground on them.

ESPN the other day ranked the best coaches left in the Tournament. Musselman was 3rd. Coach K was 7th. Great career they said, but one #1 class after another the last 10 years, and only one trip to the Final Four. Said all he does is recruit five stars now and throw the ball out there. Harsh, and untrue, but not THAT much of an exaggeration. So it’s two Final Fours now. Not much difference. Btw, all the talent Calipari has had? And he’s won a total of one National Championship.
Someone mentioned to me that Muss was out coached by Coach K last night. I disagree, I believe that coaches with superior talent can not get credit for out coaching one with less talent. I will give him credit for making adjustments and getting his guys to respond but not out coaching. Muss made adjustments but because of the talent difference the adjustments did not work as well.
Last night was all about personnel. Period. Muss might have been able to negate that with a few extra days to prepare, but, alas, he didn’t have that luxury. As I have stated in another thread, the NCAA Tourney is all about matchups, and last night was just the wrong team on the wrong night for the Hogs.
He was not out coached. We have very good talent. Duke has a starting team of 5 NBA talents, including 3 lottery picks. Give Muss enough time to prepare (he only had one day), he is the equal of any coach in the country IMHO
in game planning. For in-game decisions, great too.
