Dr. Hill - Recruiting lesson learned

I have a simple question. Did Justice Hill sign an LOI with the University of Arkansas? If so, isn’t the new coach obligated to honor that letter, regardless of whether or not he was the UofA coach when the letter was signed?

A LOI just binds the player to a university for one year, the question is did he sign a financial aid agreement?

I understand what you are saying. But I’m not sure that’s the issue here is it? I don’t know that Muss was pulling the offer, just seemed to make it clear Justice wasn’t in his top 9. I think that is point at which young Mr Hill decided to move along. Not that I blame him, or Muss for that matter.
Mutual parting of ways it seems.
Not sure what all the fuss is about really.

The 9 thing may or may not be true.

Not saying it as false. I just don’t take everything at face value.

Intend to talk to Fitz when I get home from covering the Elite 11.

Wish the best for the young man. Sorry he had to move on. Maybe he thought that he would be in the starting rotation and it didn’t work out and he didn’t want to sit on the bench.

I think it may have been a misunderstanding between Justice and Muss. I’ve heard another version of events that make a little more sense.

Misunderstanding is a correctible error. Justice has not transferred yet.

Is there something that I’m missing? He wouldn’t be the first player to transfer because a perceived lack of playing time.

No, I don’t think you’re missing anything, just a tad different than what was posted on here last week, but makes it seem like maybe there was more of a misunderstanding and some feelings got hurt.

Am waiting to here what our insiders get from their sources. May or may not provide more light

Has the misunderstanding been rehashed and everyone “understands” where they stand now?

I have no clue, that’s why I’m waiting to hear the info our insiders get. They probably will have a lot more info about everything.
