Don't expect any change in one-and-done

While the NBA would probably prefer to change that rule, it’s not a priority, nor is it for the players union, which would have to sign off on it. This look at the NBA CBA predicts there will be no change at all. As I have posted here before, while the rule clearly hurts college basketball and encourages players to be less than serious about their college education, neither the NBA nor the players care about those issues; it’s not their job to try to make college basketball better, or even to encourage kids to go to class.

For the life of me I can’t understand why the current players wouldn’t be in favor of a “2 and done” or “3 and done” rule.
Would keep more in the union employed.

Keep in mind, though, that the one-and-done situation exists only because the NBA changed its rules to not allow players to enter the draft until one year after their high school class had graduated. Many of these one=and-dones would never go to college if they could jump straight from high school.
