Dominic Tamez was voted to the 2021 All Region 5 NJCAA D1 Baseball team. He plays for McLennan CC.
Tamez has a .374 average, 1.084 OPS, 11 home runs, 17 doubles and 58 RBI in 59 games.
He has 12 passed balls but is fielding .991 this year. Passed balls was the area that seemed to hurt him most at Arkansas.
He is 7 for 35 throwing out runners, but without seeing the games it is hard to say how much of that is on the catcher and how much is on the pitcher.
Passed balls were certainly a problem at Arkansas. I also seem to remember him having trouble throwing the ball back to the pitcher, too.
His bat was always solid, but throwing and catching are kind of important for that position.
