Does it seem to you?

That we have broaden our area of FB prospects? And the quality of players?

I don’t remember back before HI what information we were getting? But over the years we have upped our game. Where we are getting that kids list and it’s the top shelf of teams trying to get that kid!

Part of it is a byproduct of the staff being on the '23 and '24 classes for a couple of years and establishing relationships.

Credit to the staff for hard work and being to connect with the kids. You also have to say the 9-4 season signals to the kids that Pittman and the staff are going in the right direction.

I think Pittman learned at Georgia how the elite schools work to get top classes. He said as much when he was hired how much focus that Kirby Smart placed on the assistants to recruit. Second, he made staff changes a year ago to prune members who were not as strong in that area , even going with unproven position coaches to do it. It helps that the ties to Georgia are on the stafff when portal opening pop up.

That said Pittman said this year they needed to do better in Arkansas. While Oklahoma has been a step up , one could say Texas and Louisiana are still not where they can be on annual basis. Arkansas has benefitted by having best high school programs near campus compared to years past. NW Ark growth has helped offset central Ark and other areas in state where populations have declined.

The one thing missing from this staff that I wish was there is a Jeff Traylor/Jim Washburn type East Texas recruiting machine.

I agree --given the distance to Dallas-Ft Worth it is kinda amazing we do not have such a foot hold there.

Not sure on this one. Arkansas does alot of recruiting arkansas athletes outside of NW Arkansas, and many of our best athletes are still from central & South Arkansas. We hit Central Arkansas pretty hard this year.

I don’t disagree with your thoughts, just the demographics are favoring NW Ark. I am happy we have two recruits from Clarendon this year but I would bet NW Ark will have more year in and year out. If NW Ark had not grown like it has , the question is where in Arkansas consistently do we get our core 10 recruits. Big companies hiring folks moves families to that area , not so much the others and I get there are good players , just talking the numbers.

No doubt. We have a winner at the top position, and he has managed to get high level recruiters that coach.

What in the world does this mean? Mercy and I read this over and over. Sounded correct to me.

Told by a doctor once that I might have a touch of dyslexia. What is a touch of that?

Good answers, no wonder people have trouble reading my posts.

Before I cut myself up to much this is from

Psychology Today

Some neuroscientists believe that dyslexics are more creative than the average person—Albert Einstein and William Butler Yeats had the disorder—because the brain structures normally devoted to processing language rewire themselves, thereby priming the mind to cook up novel ideas.

BTW I’m going next week for tests and other stuff.
