Kevin Trainer introduced him to DVH. Before the first pitch he went into a full windup and threw. Afterward, the team came out of the dugout and he shook hands with them as he left the field.

I went to talk with Dick during the game. He is a very nice man and his family was so proud of him being back in town.
I asked him what he thought of the stadium. He raised his hands, motioned around and said, “This is unbelievable.”
He and his family went on a tour of the Hunt Center before the game. They also ate Catfish Hole, which would have been a first for him.
Happy to hear that. Fayetteville and the University have changed a great deal since he was playing there.
