we drove up 67/167 about 3 weeks ago, there’s a billboard as you enter Jacksonville, with a huge pic of Devo, arms outspread for the length of the billboard, that says “welcome to Devoville”. Love it!

I think he’s going to be the older guy who shows all these talented young dudes “the Way” and provides the grit and will when this team inevitably has some growing pains. Jaylin, if he comes back, will do the same thing.
Devo might not be our leading scorer more than a handful of games next year, but if we are successful, he will be due a lot of credit.

Which brings up an old family joke. My son attended North Little Rock High, which for some reason after they closed Northeast High changed its mascot to the Charging Wildcats to satisfy Northeast grads. To my son, this prompted the image of a wildcat running through McCain Mall with fists full of credit cards. So he refers to his alma mater as the Visacats.

I am a graduate of Northeast, as is Mrs. Buzzard and my brother. The Northeast Charger nickname was great and unique in Arkansas.
The Charging Wildcat is just silly. When they consolidated the schools they should have just used Wildcats, which is what NLR High was before Northeast opened in the 70s.
Yup. I agree. And so does SF Junior.
Guynhawaii is also a Northeast grad. Not sure of his view on the Charging Wildcats.
