We’ll see what happens in the second half, but I think it has a lot to do with matchups. The book on Robb Smith’s defenses is that they struggle with fast-paced teams that spread them wide, but do well with teams that huddle and are more pro-style. Florida is the latter.
Robb Smith would probably do much better in the Big 10; probably should look for work there. Seems that the SEC is becoming a spread league. And with QBs that can run the ball. At least in the West.
