Well, at least our team and coaches got to see what an SEC defense really is. LSU has one as does of course, Bama. Big, quick, and very fast. You recruit that. We have not. Pretty simple.
My dream defense: strong DTs with lightning quick DEs. Fast LBs who can cover sideline to sideline. Shutdown corners, hard-hitting safeties. I think we could win with that. But so could anybody. Doubt our coaches would reject that defense… I just get tired of seeing our defense in a great situation but can’t get off the field (i.e., 2nd-and-19 deep in LSU territory and Fournette gets 17 of that on a poorly defended run. Soon they were in the end zone … again.) God to get off the field.
