As I type this, we are tied for 8th early in the third round. Our team score so far today is -3 (one of only 4 teams under par today), while Texas Tech (tied for third) is +7 on the day, and Texas (tied for 12th) is +6. Alabama is struggling with a +9 score late in their round.
We need to finish in the top 15 at the end of today to make the cut for tomorrow, when the field will be whittled down to 8 for match play.
The surprise is 28th ranked Duke, who is a sizzling -14 today. No surprise that local team Oklahoma State, and OU are among the top 8 at this point.
Our best golfer this tournament, William Buhl, made the turn at -3. But he gave all of those back with a triple bogey on #10. Still, were just 1 stroke out of the top 8 with the back nine to play.
