Rickie Fowler just four-putted the first green for a 7 on a par 5. Looked like me out there, except my four-jack would have been for a 10. Matt Kuchar and Patrick Reed are the top Americans right now at even par.
I am hoping the USA Golf team will make up for the medals USA Tennis team was expected to get but did not. Rooting for Fowler, Kuchar and Reed to do it.
Lingmerth dropped back to -2 by the end of his round but is still tied for 11th. He is tied with Matt Kuchar and ahead of the other three Americans.
