There are a few reports that Dan Enos will be promoted to offensive coordinator at Alabama. That’s quite a rise for him considering where he was this time last year and that he was going to be a position coach at Michigan this year.
Mike Locksley, the 2018 coordinator and winner of the Broyles Award, was hired as head coach at Maryland last week, but will stay with the team for postseason play.

[/quote]Glad for him. He did a good job here in a bad situation. He’ll do a good job for Alabama.
He did a great job here in his 3 years as offensive coordinator. We were among the best offenses in the SEC. We moved the ball and scored a lot of points. We just couldn’t stop anybody.
Nick Saban certainly knows what he is doing, and Dan will do a great job there with incredible talent to work with.
Congratulations to him.
Former Bielema offensive coordinators at both Georgia and Alabama…interesting.
I think you’re right. I was skeptical that Enos ever would get a Power Five job because of his losing record in the MAC, but seeing Mike Locksley get the Maryland job with a 3-31 career record (2-26 at New Mexico; 1-5 as interim at Maryland) pretty much shows anything is possible.
If people look closely at his record at Central Michigan, yes he was 26-36 but he was .500 or above in each of his last three seasons and went to bowl games in two of those years. He also posted victories over Iowa and Purdue of the Big Ten.
Enos is a great OC. The hogs were good on offense and scored plenty of points most of the time. Our defense wasn’t worth a hoot. It’s one side of the ball at a time that performs well for us.
I hope Enos lands another HC job he is a good man.
Enos has the experience both as a Head Coach and a coordinator. It’s more than position coaching, as I believe we have learned with our OC this year. It takes a great deal of leadership and toughness to lead your assistant coaches and make your own evaluations of their recommendations for who starts and who doesn’t. That comes from experience and Enos has it.
Congrats to Dan, he did a fine job here with the players he had. Saban wasted no time picking him up.
You could see the difference this year with both Bama QB’s. They both speak very highly of Coach Enos.
Seal of approval and validation on a national stage. He appears to be the real deal.
Happy for his success but he will only makes things tougher on his SEC brethren.
Well, I don’t guess it can get much tougher.
