Jack Bruce was the highest placed Hog at 13th, 39 seconds behind the winner.
Carinia Viljoen was 48th on the women’s side.
Northern Arizona won the men’s title and New Mexico won the women’s title. If you noticed that both of those schools are at high altitude, you would be correct.
Good job hogs, I can relate to blustery conditions. I ran 5m at Agri this morning and the wind pretty much stood me up. Sounds like they ran good tactical race.
Ha, I had a couple of occasions to fly into La Paz Bolivia airport ( military) elevation 12,000 feet above sea level. Had to reconfigure the aircraft ( C-130) from passengers to cargo and it took a couple of hours. I took an oxygen bottle to the hotel and slept( kind of) to mitigate the headache. No question about altitude making a difference!
