Corndogs lose to Northwestern State

3-1 game in Natchitoches (amazed I spelled it right on the first try). These midweek games can bite you in the butt. Of course NSU was an NCAA tournament team last year so they’re not a typical midweek foe, but LSU is kind of on the skids as conference play approaches, with a record of 11-5 now. NSU scored all three runs in the sixth inning, and held LSU to five hits.

I like to see LSU struggle. They just haven’t played well. They blown 9th inning leads and walked a lot of batters. I’m just glad we get them at home instead of the possum dump they call “The Box”!

No doubt they are struggling big time but you know as well as I do by the time we play them they will look like the 27 Yankees!!

I sure hope not! I can’t stand them.

Oh I can’t stand them either! This is not the first time they’ve had a slow start and then went into complete overdrive Midway through the season. They may not have the pitching this year but that offense will eventually get to rolling

Their stating pitching has had problems finding the strike zone. But heck SEC umpires will help them out.
Their offense hasn’t been dominant up to this point.

Not only was Northwestern State a tournament team, it was three outs from eliminating LSU in the Corvallis Regional last year. No doubt the Demons had this game circled on their calendar.

I think Northwestern State looks pretty good this year. The Demons beat Louisiana Tech last week in Ruston and come here next month.

Then I hope the hogs are ready! I like to see good games. I just hope the hogs start making the routine play. I hope Ezell
At 2B yesterday was only an experiment.
His arm isn’t healthy enough to play anywhere but 1B and he also has issues there being a middle infielder.
I hope he get well soon!

Ezell’s shoulder will continue to get stronger. It’s a long process to come back from the type of labrum surgery (front and back) that he went through.
