Connor Noland

With the injury to Pallette and possible loss of Zeb I’m feeling good about Connor being a factor in the next few weeks. He has the experience and obviously the talent and it appears he’s back to form. We need him and I believe he’ll come through.

Yes I agree, he throws the ball like he did Saturday there will be nobody hitting him. I think I counted one or two balls that got above thigh high, everything was diving down below the knees.

Tole also really impress me, to come into a tie game in that situation, not having ever been in it, then to strike out one of the best hitters in the SEC, then to proceed to get them out the next inning was very impressive.I think we found two more weapons to help us in this pitching staff that can really carry us into Omaha.

I think Noland and Tole are going to have expanded roles in the postseason. If they pitch like they have in their recent outings, they can fill the void left by Pallette and possibly Vermillion.

Spelled Pallette, but pronounced as you spelled it. :grinning:

Great to see from both, especially Conner as we need his veteran leadership!

Thanks Marty. I’m horrible at proof reading…

Noland and Tole are showing up at a good point for our extended season.

I think Noland can be used in any situation. From starter to closer and all points in between.

Absolutely, and right now that flexibility makes him a very valuable player. Again, one of Noland’s greatest strengths is between his ears. No moment is too big for him.
Tole and Wiggins also look primed for big time. Experience is going to help those two to grow exponentially, I believe. Their natural ability is already way above average.
