I talked to someone who is in contact with the MLB scouts. The reason Neville dropped to the 18th round is because the glove is ahead of the bat.
I am super glad to have him because he is an absolute elite athlete who will start from day one in centerfield just needs to work on becoming a better hitter. Welcome aboard Mason!!!

After listening to that, all I could think was that this kid really listened to DVH. Coach tells his recruits to set a required signing bonus and then stick with it. The progression made in a good program can only benefit him. Plus, the life of a college athlete in a high-level program is much easier than life in the minors.
