This is the cherry on the turd sundae. Hate it for the kid and wish him the very best, He is really something to watch and get excited about in the near future.
Sorry for the kid, Hopefully he has a new coach in the spring
Man Chase is fun to watch. I hope it’s not serious and he recovers soon!
I noticed Chase limping off the field after his long run. I don’t recall them showing a replay so no idea what he might have injured. Saying “lower leg injury” is almost as useless as not saying anything at all. You could tell that just by watching him limp off, not having seen the play at all. But I know that between coaching paranoia and privacy regulations, they’re limited in what they will reveal on injuries.

[/quote]I was pretty disgusted and mentally checked out (watched the game, but not with the normal focus), and I’ve already deleted the recording I made while at the watch party. But, it appeared that he was hurt in the same way that someone getting horse-collared does. Being pulled down from behind, I think he fell backward on his leg.
At this point, the most important thing is that he rehabs well and recovers fully. This season is lost, so not having him won’t hurt nearly as bad this year as it will going forward. I wish him the best in recovery.
Will he be eligible for a medical red shirt or is it too late?
He is well past a redshirt possibility.

4-6 weeks, which could put him out past the end of the regular season.
