I’m happy for the young man. Now he needs to decide what is best for himself…

Where is he going to play next year? All the articles about him talk about him being Texas. Is he moving to Arkansas?

No. Staying at Highland Park.

Where he will be the starting quarterback, taking over for John Stephen Jones after he led Highland Park to the last two state titles.

Does Chandler possess the same all around skill set as JSJ since they are similar in size/stature? Arm strength, footwork, speed
Chandler should put on a few more pounds by the time he graduates as well as gain arm strength & speed.

Mom not moving to Arkansas? Staying with someone else? No big deal just a little unusual. (My parents almost moved to Texas right before my Senior year, if they had my plan was to try to talk them into letting me move in with my best friend, I don’t know if it would have happened or not, they decided not to move and I never had to have the conversation.)

No idea of specifics but it’s a good situation at HP. He and his parents must prefer it over Fayetteville. Great coaching at HP and they always have a shot at a state title against very good competition.

They are just allowing him to stay where he is comfortable and finish his high school career. It happens all the time and is not a sign of liking one place over the other. It is very disruptive to kid when they are moved away just before their senior year. My ex-wife had emotional scars from it 20 years later.
It sounds to me like they are doing the right thing for their son and it is commendable. I am sure husband and wife would rather be together.

Power house in Texas… I really don’t blame the kid
