FYI, Chandler Morris and his Highland Park teammates will play against Shadow Creek for the 5A Division 1 state championship Saturday in Arlington. The game begins at 11 a.m. and will be televised live on Fox Sports Southwest.
I’ve been watching Morris’ highlights throughout the playoffs and he has been impressive. He passed for 265 yards and three touchdowns, and rushed for 75 yards and three touchdowns last Saturday against Denton Ryan. I’m looking forward to watching a full game that he plays.

I was there. Great game. I saw coaches Mark Smith, Steve Caldwell, OC Craddock, WR coach Stepp, Dustin Fry. and the D-line coach all on the HP sidelines during that game, along with a few SMU coaches. Most of the UA coaches hugged and congratulated Chandler after the game. I did not see Coach Morris there, but assume he was. I assume a lot of these guys stayed for the Allen v. Duncanville game, which had a ton of talent on the field. Most of them were in Texas all week, or most of it recruiting I assume.
