Another late-night note: ESPN College Football Final gave Skipper a helmet sticker for the blocked field goal.
The only bad thing about the helmet sticker was its proximity to another:

If we only enter the poll at #22, that will exemplify why I think the polls are nonsense at this time of the year. Voters don’t want to “jump” someone too many spots…but their original “spots” were based on…nothing.
That said, I hope we wind up ranked for the good publicity. But we beat #15 at THEIR place. We should enter the poll in their slot. Switch em out!
I agree about the polls’ validity this early, but like you said, they’re good publicity. Teams in the top 25 get talked about more. Besides, once a team gets in it’s easier to keep climbing as it keeps winning. I’m convinced we were a top 25 team last year by November, but the early losses made it impossible for us to get in.
