Razorback diver Brooke Schultz won the 3-Meter title at the US National Championships (not NCAA) in Indianapolis and will be on the USA team for the 2019 FINA World Championships in July in Gwangju, South Korea.
Incidentally another Razorback, Anna Hopkin will represent Great Britain in the same event.
Congratulations to the two Hogs!
I talked with her and her father a little while ago: http://www.wholehogsports.com/news/2019 … pionships/
Thanks for doing this story. Athletes in other than major sports put in as much effort in practice and workouts to compete at a high level, sometimes more than major sports. It us nice to give them some pub.
USA lost its top spot in diving a while ago with the arrival of Chinese divers, who seem to have amazingly flexible bodies. It will be interesting to see how much progress Brooke has made since the last World’s.
I agree. The athletes in the non revenue sports work just as hard at their craft as the football and basketball players. They need a Whooo Pig from all of us.
