Bowl game workouts

Saw on another board some discussion of some names stepping up in the practices and wonder if others have any input. Spoke of Eric Thomas and listed him as a linebacker. He has SEC size, but my question is, will he really be a linebacker? I think we really need to add size and athleticism at linebacker, even though Pool and Morgan have played great, depth will be important.

Also heard Jaccori Turner mentioned favorably along with Malik Chavis, both are listed as 6-2 defensive backs. I know Chavis has track speed, not sure about Turner, but love the length on the back end.

Offensive linemen mentioned were Henderson and St. John. No surprise on Henderson, but seems St. John came in weighing 350 plus, so wondering if he will carry that kind of weight or if they have trimmed him down. It is interesting to think about who is coming on and/or who might step forward. Great to have some optimism after some challenging times.

Walk on LB Woodard was also mentioned for his impressive play in the bowl practices.

He actually got some playing time this year over a couple scholarship LBers (one of whom is in his second year).

Eric Thomas Jr is more of a stand up Pass Rusher, than actual LB.

Kelin Burrle and Jackson Woodard (Walk-On) were mentioned as standouts at LB, by Pittman and team players.

Pittman mentioned Jalen St. John would need to slim down at one point.
